When the wife and I were divorcing a long time ago I was getting 100% of my retirement. It is up to the separating spouse to be honorable or not. Also up to the judge but no one is entitled.

You may be right, but most times the Judge is going to go with 50% after 10 years.

That is the unfortunate part. Considering all the concessions I am already making, I think at this point, it passed up being anywhere close to being fair. And as you know, I will not get a full AD retirement. I made damn sure she had a career, etc. but now she is letting greed take over. I just want it to be said and done, but now she wants to make sure that my 17 year old son is in the middle. If she keeps on, there will be no choice but to sell the house. I didn't want all of this to impact my youngest son anymore than it has, but yet, here we are.

**** that, demand that everything be sold, house included. All creditors are paid off and any cash left is split 50/50. Have to pay child support until the kid is 18 and if college is agreed to then you pay directly to the school each semester. If she wants 1/2 your retirement, then you demand 1/2 of hers. Kid may side with her, but he is all but an adult, time to make adult decisions. Go scorched earth until she becomes reasonable.

She had been researching lawyers. I found her notes and the one she circled I hired immediately.

Once the emotions were over with it turned to war.

I hired that lawyer got her to agree to uncontested which was pretty evenly split. Told her after she signed I didn't have the money to file right there in the lawyer's office and that there was time.

As soon as we left in separate cars I called the lawyer and filed it immediately.
