I had a great day yesterday. I played golf and then went to a friends house to watch my beloved Sooners kick the crap out of our little brother in state rivals. Every year the aggies talk about this is their year and they are going to beat OU. And this year was one of the worse cases of that after OU lost two games early in the season. Their big fat mouths overloaded their asses again. It was great kicking the crap out of them again to show them they are and never will be at OU's level. The beatdown last night should keep them quiet for another year.

I am not playing golf today and don't plan on doing anything other than nothing. I do nothing exactly once a year. So...............

I never equated knowledge to years, but assuming I am jaded because I have literally evaluated and treated thousands of these patients, PLUS my education gives me just a tad of knowing what the fuq I am talking about.

My choices also have protected me, besides watching my granddaughter in my home 2 days a week, I see no scenario where I allow myself to lower my guard. I social distance everywhere and take extreme caution as I understand transmission of respiratory pathogens. Despite non stop education on transmission, we have a huge portion of the population that refuses to learn and adapt.

Again, I think you and Steve and I are closer than you think. I am all for kids being back to school, and kids going to college, but also think that basic mask precautions and social distancing protocols MUST be adhered to if we want to try to have some normalcy during a pandemic.

You have no idea how many people in Oklahoma were part of the "this virus is a hoax" crowd and thought it was a conspiracy to take away their freedoms.

I don't think (I could be wrong) I ever stated the virus was a hoax. I have believed from the start, that the virus is real. I believe the reaction to it is way beyond proportionate and I believe the politics of it has taken front and center.

When lies and disinformation and conflicting facts are all you hear, you stop listening and start using your own logic. My frustration in every aspect of trying to learn what to expect for me, or my parents, having tested positive, was unreal. So much bullshit and so many "experts" that feel compelled to provide an answer to a question that they clearly DON"T KNOW the answer to. I'd rather read a list of 50 items that say "We just don't know" after them, than suffer the endless, mindless, Fauci-esque, volumes of stupidity I encountered. I had fairly simple question: If everyone in a household is currently positive for Covid, should they still isolate?" Seems a simple enough question. Go try to find that answer. Good luck.

You're possibly right that we may not be so far off but I will go to my grave insisting that your protocols that you are taking will not prevent you from getting Covid. I'll go further and say they have not prevented you from getting it. You just haven't gotten it. If what you say about the steps and precautions you take is true, NO ONE that you work with or is in the same field of work, would get Covid. The protocols would work, and that would be that. Yet there are story after story of front line workers falling ill with Covid. Clearly indicating they are lying about following protocols OR they just don't work. Assuming the first is true, even with their lies, they are doing more than Joe WalMart.

To answer a couple questions.

1. Yes, they should still isolate so they don’t spread it to people outside the household.
2. Protocols are not 100%. They are there to provide the most protection possible. It’s not like a light switch, where it’s all on or all off. These protocols and precautions limit your chances of contracting COVID, they never claimed to eliminate your chances.
