I had a great day yesterday. I played golf and then went to a friends house to watch my beloved Sooners kick the crap out of our little brother in state rivals. Every year the aggies talk about this is their year and they are going to beat OU. And this year was one of the worse cases of that after OU lost two games early in the season. Their big fat mouths overloaded their asses again. It was great kicking the crap out of them again to show them they are and never will be at OU's level. The beatdown last night should keep them quiet for another year.

I am not playing golf today and don't plan on doing anything other than nothing. I do nothing exactly once a year. So...............

If the law/politicians/health experts, really gave a SHIT about health, those other masks would be made ILLEGAL and N95 or better would be mandatory.

But they don't give a shit. They don't care if the numbers rise. In fact, it gives them MORE power. They have ZERO motivation to keep us safe and a shit ton of motivation to keep us in line.

You are protected by the TYPE of mask you wear along with a thousand other protocols that do NOT exist in WalMart.

As for your mechanic analogy, I have encountered MANY mechanics that made it clear to me that I knew more about cars than they do. Bad example.

Plenty of college grads can't change the battery in their TV remote. Don't equate years with knowledge.

You are extremely jaded and can no longer see the big picture. No one faults you. As I said before, the soldier's war is different than the general's.

Actually, I wear a paper (which is the procedure mask) most of the day and I wear one the entire shift. Same with the N95, I wear the same mask for a 12 hour shift.

I never equated knowledge to years, but assuming I am jaded because I have literally evaluated and treated thousands of these patients, PLUS my education gives me just a tad of knowing what the fuq I am talking about.

My choices also have protected me, besides watching my granddaughter in my home 2 days a week, I see no scenario where I allow myself to lower my guard. I social distance everywhere and take extreme caution as I understand transmission of respiratory pathogens. Despite non stop education on transmission, we have a huge portion of the population that refuses to learn and adapt.

Again, I think you and Steve and I are closer than you think. I am all for kids being back to school, and kids going to college, but also think that basic mask precautions and social distancing protocols MUST be adhered to if we want to try to have some normalcy during a pandemic.

You have no idea how many people in Oklahoma were part of the "this virus is a hoax" crowd and thought it was a conspiracy to take away their freedoms.
