Default WWVBOT Do?

I'm relaxing this morning with a cup of coffee, idly manipulating the handle and....crack. About a one inch long section of the handle snaps off, oddly, towards the center of the handle, not where it's attached to the mug itself.

It's a French Market mug like this:

So I'm bummed. I originally ordered 3, I gave one as a present, broke the second one, and now this. I'm considering trying to glue it back, but then there's always that lingering worry, is it going to break while I'm holding a full mug of hot coffee.

So, should I

1) glue it, then hope it is bonded

2) toss it, use other mugs

3) order a new one from the company and pick up some coffee while I'm placing an order anyway

4) blame the whole thing on Rickles

5) enjoy pie with coffee, even though the mug is damaged

I would go on the internet and ask folks what I should do about a broken mug. Oh, wait.

Only poor people use coffee mugs more than once.

If VB votes buying a new one, I'm considering this as a replacement:

And maybe a blue one, too:

I would like to know why the handle failed. I suspect maybe some previous falls from the end table to the carpeted floor may have created some hairline stress fractures that eventually completely failed.

Someone here or at the other place (which I can't get into until Sept.) made me a ceramic
coffee mug when my grandson Blaze Coda was born and he put Blaze Coda on the bottom of it. Well my daughter broke it and is so upset . I wish I knew who it was....I do remember his house burned down and he was into building a new home.
If possible, glue it back together....this one is beyond that .

Reminds me of a Rodney Dangerfield line.

"What a morning. I'm putting my shirt on and a button fell off. Pick up my briefcase and the handle came off.

I'm afraid to go to the bathroom!"

Glue it with super glue. Wrap the bond in duct tape. Fiberglass over the duct tape. Dip the handle in Plasti-Dip. Put a small splint inside the curve of the handle and wrap it all with rubber grip tape.

I refuse to offer ANY help or condolences, because you never offered me any advice on fixing the chip in my plastic soap dish.

Get a real cup for drinking coffee. Been using the same one for about 20 years now and it has bounced off the floor too many times to count... Just don't drop it on your foot

I had one of those long ago....I broke it. Used to make root beer floats, and Dr Pepper floats, with Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream.
