God I love this body shop! They have already straightened the body structure as seen in these pictures. My expectation was it would look kind of "hacky" and it wouldn't matter, cuz it's on the inside of the car, but holy shit, you cannot even tell.

They have elected to refinish her white front bumper in favor of the black one that we supplied, and the black fender (which would have had body filler for the side light hole), they have said wasn't going to mate well with the bumper, so they will have a brand new aftermarket one tomorrow, which in the big scheme of things I think is a way better approach. No filler, and perfect lines. The black one worked as a great template for them to at least get the frame repair done.

On top of that, they are even going to fix the gap for the rear trunk lid, from rear end damage before we got the car. The perfectly painted trunk lid rubs on the rear fascia, and then eventually rusts. I put vinyl in there to keep it from doing that, but looked cheesy. Now it will look perfect!!

GWiz seemed really excited with the progress so far.

Not a lot done today. Replacement fender is in. Has a small dimple that they will likely use dentless removal on, but otherwise looks great. Torrential rain here most of the day, which pretty much immobilizes painters. She won't get him back until after xmas, but he's gonna look good.

More progress today. Bumper and fender look great, and we got to see the structure repair without the panel in place. They pulled the hardware from the driver door, so hoping that blends really nicely.

Or, in GWiz's case, the next major ding 'cuz College car. Hey, City of Atlanta is paying, so it's all good. Still way better than her BRZ getting effed up. She's got 4 more semesters left, I highly doubt this will be the last time he gets a band-aid.

Got some shit to fix, but Baymax is done. They put two fresh dings in the driver door and tried to just put touch up paint on them....really?!?! They will fix this in May when G is home for a week.

The driver door plastic cover at the top by the window pops up every time you close the door because they broke some of the clips removing it. Trunk lid they adjusted to prevent rubbing on the rear fascia piece, but it looks like shit. It's 1/8" above the body line now.

Final tally...$3,000

G's still pretty satisfied with her care. Got the sticker on the driver's side, so he's all complete now.
