The longer I stick around in the home remodeling business, the more shocked I become to the way people exist......the traces of just crap and some sort of depravity I spot in houses for renovation.....

When we were looking for a house we came across some things. Looked at one house that had a salon type tanning bed in one bedroom. Another house the 4 bedrooms, living room, family room, dinning room, foyer and hall had different color carpeting. Then there was 2 houses that I wondered do the people really what to sell it. One house we liked but when I wanted to go in the garage there was a note on the door that said Don Not enter Dog. Well we that killed the possible sale. Went to look at a another house that same day and when I opened the drapes to go on to the patio there sat a German Sheppard looking back at me. My Realtor said he was going to contact the realtors on those houses about this and that this killed possible sale.

I’m guessing this is a repo. We looked at a repo years ago and it was interesting the things people choose to damage when they are being kicked out

About 20 years ago my son was looking to buy his first house. With owning my own houses and over 30 years in the building trades he brought me along to take advantage of my expertise.

He found this place right at the outskirts of the city. On the outside the house looked nice, it was a small older place. When we went in (with Realtor as the owners were not home)

I found mice and rat poison containers all over the house. Also the house had a 60AMP power panel with lots of blown fuses in the trash can and a couple boxes of new fuses on the counter. I then checked out what I could see of the electric systen and told my son, don't get this house. There were other problems also.

Cannot believe that realtor allowed that mice stuff and electrical problems to be that obvious. It was like a flashing red light to me. That house stayed for sale for about a year after we looked at it and when it sold it went for considerably less that the price we were quoted!
