This bill affects ALL independent contractors in California, not just Uber and Lyft drivers. Doing what I have been doing for the past 15 years, I was an independent contractor, and I don't drive for Uber or Lyft.

Well the drive to classify them as employees was motivated by the self-interest of the labor unions, seeking new dues, so all sides are equally besmirched.
