In Football. I know basketball and baseball aren't sports or any other sports unless the SEC is good at them.

First, thank you @Will for putting these threads together this season. While I didn't have much to add to the discussion with the best parts of my team now fueling USC's rise from the ashes, I enjoyed the banter and discussion, except that one guy, and looked forward to each week's thread.
TCU was an interesting story this year and I'd hoped for an interesting game but I don't think anyone would have beaten Georgia.

I just finished listening to Joel Klatt's podcast about the game. IMO no other analyst comes close to his insight. This week the podcast is ~35 minutes and the "I ain't got time for that" meme is likely to show up. Just listen and learn. If you don't like it you can get your money back.
Cliffs: TCU was glad to be there. Georgia was introducing Saban and the rest of CFB to the new sheriff.

Yes the SEC is the most dominate Conference in football but the Pac 12 is the most dominate in college sports by a long shot.

Waiting for steeb and strats to post croquet isn't a sports.

Good stats, I agree, PAC-12 does well in many sports.

With that said, Football in America is King, it is what we watch, it is what fills stadiums, this will never wane, and to most only your football accomplishments matter.

The love of football and the East Coast Bias are the SEC's two best allies.

Not to worry, FSU will end their dominance this year, but will need QB to stay healthy, and will need luck more than talent in some games.

Looking forward to a great 2023, may all out teams do well!!

Wanted to watch the game, but do not have ESPN and do not care to support their woke agenda by subscribing. So fine, I didn't get to see that college game. I'll live.

Worst bowl matchup in history, LSU playing an understaffed Purdue team. Purdue had no business in that level of bowl game. Especially after all the coaches left and the best players chickened out.

Have to agree about Klatt being the best College Football analyst on TV. He and Gus Johnson are hands down the best duo calling games, and I wish they did SEC games.

I think we can lure Jameis back for his final year of eligibility if we provide free King Crab Legs daily.

With that said, he was a very good college QB, is a very, very mediocre NFLer, but has made more than enough to retire.

Jameis was no Tim Tebow, but close, here are his stats:

National Champion
Heisman Winner
27-1 as a starter---yep, I remember Oregon crushing them, I still have have deep tissue scaring

You may be right, but I 'thought' the bowl committee for each specific bowl selects the teams they want to play, based on how many seats they think can fill.

South Carolina is going to ROLL next year.

The end of the season was no fluke, Spencer Rattler finally got half decent pass protection, and he moved the ball with ease against Tennessee, Clemson, and Notre Dame.

Recruiting class they just wrangled was O-Line heavy with a handful of 4-star guys. Carolina under Muschamp was mostly getting 3-star O-Linemen.

Gamecocks should be favored everyone in the East other than Georgia, and POSSIBLY Tennessee pending what their offense looks like next season (1 bowl game is not enough, need more proof that Joe Milton can keep the offensive production close to where it was with Hendon Hooker. I did notice that against Clemson, Milton was making a conscious effort to UNDERthrow balls slightly if he was going to miss so the WR had a chance to adjust and make a play on the ball or get PI. Milton lost his job to Hooker OVERthrowing balls and missing dudes down field).

SEC West is murderers row next year. Holy shit. 6X champions Alabama and Saban will be on the war path with everyone handing their crown to UGA after 2 championships. Auburn has Hugh Freeze and it's now LEGAL for him to get guys . . . compensated in some form or fashion. Arkansas still has Sam Pittman and will NOT have the most difficult schedule in football next season (this year was brutal. SEC West + South Carolina + OOC against Cincy, BYU, & Liberty). Texas A&M's #1 in the country freshman class that was forced to play a ton last season is now experienced and Jimbo didn't accidentally win a Natty at FSU. Brian Kelly is clearly the right man for the job at LSU and has the Tigers already competing for the SEC again. Ole Miss still has Lane Kiffin and will still hang major points on people. Mississippi State is the only question mark. Will the new defensive minded head coach pan out?

Outside of the SEC, the other big question mark is B1G supremacy between Michigan and Ohio State. If Harbaugh stays and gets a new deal, Michigan probably keeps the crown they ripped from Ohio State. If Harbaugh leaves, slim chance Michigan gets the next hire so right that they stay on top. I love to hate the Buckeyes and have been critical of Ryan Day, but he did the best coaching job in the college football playoff and really changed my perception of him.

Because SEC teams can draw 75k for a spring game. Sell out their stadiums when they play Bethune-Cookman or Mother Theresa's school for deformed dwarves. Half the states in the SEC have no professional teams so cfb is their God and the only game in town. They draw people and the NCAA is all about money. A 1-11 SEC team would almost sell out a bowl game.
