Like 9-11 or RFK's assassination, I tend to remember historic events vividly. This was one of them. You had been suspended for a length of time, like a month or so, got back, and within 6 hours of getting back on the forum, were perma-banned for calling a moderator a 'Barney Fife" to his face. It was epic as hell. You fell on the sword without hesitation, as did Lars a short time later. Modern day heroes, IMO. You didn't even make it back for half a day. Epic.

I just found out that it had been bought by a motorcycle training school and razed in 2017. Just a dirt lot now. Shame. It was Ollie Pesche's Musical Wells Ranch, built in the early 1930's. Pesch was a historian and can be googled. The ranch featured a harmonica in the well house that would play when the ocean tides went in or out. Built of railroad ties, the house had oak floors and cedar closets. Not a shithole at all. He lived there until 1983 when he was killed in a car accident on the 14. Place was up for sale, and all 72 acres of land, for 90k awhile back. Wish I had known. I may have bought it. RIP Ollie....1906-1983.
