However, once the dust has been blown off the blinds, the particles travel through the air and are thus transferred to a surface where they may be more easily wiped up with a microfiber rag or dust mop. It is a rather tedious task wiping each slat or blind with with a rag or feather duster. I've never tried using a "swifter", though. I have used a Swiffer, just the same-almost.

The best way to get dust out of complex surfaces is with a small paint brush and a small shop vac. Use the brush to sweep towards the running vacuum nozzle. I detail car dashboards and consoles that way- the brush gets into the crevices and the vacuum pulls the crud away.

You can use that technique on just about anything with an irregular surface.
