This. Initial cost is high, but over time it has paid for itself.

I don't think so.
That one has a little port that pulls the air out.

Every unit we've had, one end is open and you put it in the unit and it draws the air out and heat seals the end.

Don't get those cheap POS things. They will fall apart quicker than Biden given a rehearsed speech.

The Sous Vide is a better option, IMHO.

We have a $50 cheapo sealer from Amazon that has worked well for us. It came with a bunch of bags, then they sent us a bunch more for free when we posted a review. We use a dehydrator to make dried apple slices, "sundried" tomatoes, raisins, and a few other things, then vacuum seal them.

We do the bulk meats as others have mentioned, but we also freeze a lot of stuff from the garden for use in the winter.
Sweet corn, onions, peppers, green beans, etc.

You can with my cheapo one. It has a thin hose that you can attach to draw a vacuum on containers that came with it.

Put the hose on the nipple of that bag and it should work.

Hmm, that's similar to advice I got from a buddy of mine when I was thinking of marriage.

Yes. We freeze all meats, minus the store packaging. No more freezer burn! You are going to love it!

Just get the regular plastic that is sous vide safe. I learned a long time ago that it's easy to go bigger on the bag and get a good seal than trying to save plastic.

We just did another 4 tenderloin chunks from Costco this afternoon. Those, along with the T-Bones will probably not see the sous vide, as they are appropriate for a straight grill. Love the filets "blue", or "Pittsburgh" as they have very little fat. The T-Bones are thin enough that I can nail them on the grill as well.
