Default What Exactly Is "The Lincoln Project" ?

I've seen a few interesting articles about them and their members, however, I was wondering who they really are.
This article, for example, is one that I find interesting. Do you consider the Seal a traitor or a true Patriot?

A GOP Super PAC railing against Trump ? wow

Many good Republicans have seen Trump for what he is, as the following from Aug 2016.

"BY DANIEL WHITE AUGUST 8, 2016 5:48 PM EDT
A group of 50 senior Republican national security officials signed a letter Monday warning that presidential candidate Donald Trump “lacks the character, values and experience to be president.”

Many of the group were aides and cabinet members during the George W. Bush administration, according to the New York Times. They warned that a Trump presidency could threaten American security.

“From a foreign policy perspective, Donald Trump is not qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief,” the letter reads. “Indeed, we are convinced that he would be a dangerous President and would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world,” the letter continues. The group said that they would not vote for Trump, but did not expressly say they would vote for his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

Signees include former Pennsylvania Gov. and the first Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, former CIA and NSA director Michael Hayden, former Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff, former national intelligence director and Secretary of State John Negroponte, former deputy Secretary of State and William Howard Taft IV, the grandson of President William Howard Taft.

Since receiving the Republican nomination in July, Trump has garnered criticism from national security experts, including some who argue that he should not receive classified briefings.

It's a vehicle for never-Trumpers to convert donations from other never-Trumpers into money for their bank accounts. If you look at where the money goes. it all goes to "salaries."

https://www.redstate.com/bradslager/...bank-accounts/

Quote:
In a detailed thread on his Twitter account Rob Pyers went through the released financials of this group and, even by the fractured ethics of PAC standards, The Lincoln Project is rather brazen in how it allocates its funds. During the excitable segment on MSNBC Nicole Wallace led the cheering, announcing how TLP had very quickly taken in over $1 million over the course of weeks. Where that money went says it all. Rick Wilson states in the interview how they saw a lack of heroes in the current GOP willing to stand up to Donald Trump. Yet with that tacit declaration of his heroism what is exposed is the venality of those on the TLP board.

As Pyers shows over 90% of the money donated has gone to businesses and groups directly tied to the members of The Lincoln Project.
Put it this way....it's like a Gofundme page for a few people who say, "Help us fight Trump!" You send money, they spend it on diners out, new cars, whatever. But you're 'fighting Trump' so you can feel good about your donation, amirite?

Don't fall for a scam. If you want to actually donate to the Democrat Party, make a donation to BLM, whose ActBlue funding site run by a convicted domestic terrorist who bombed the US Capitol, among others, will go straight to the DNC.

Maybe one day Jeff will realize that the D's and the R's in DC are just two sides of the same Big Party, the Uniparty, who have been fleecing the American people for decades with institutionalized backroom deals and truly evil ones at that. K-Street lobbyists, entrenched bureaucracy, and political animals who benefit from that corrupt system were terrified of an outsider coming in and cleaning house.

That's it. The Lincoln Project is just the manifestation of that on the GOPe side. Paul Ryan is another (what a mother****er he is, along with Romney.) It's all a Big Club, and You Ain't In It.

These are the same war hawks that invaded Iraq, the worst foreign policy blunder of the last 50 years that we are talking about. I'd say their judgement and "moral authority" is pretty suspect.

Trump has started NO new wars. Trump has held both our allies and our foes to a higher standard. All the new trade deals and negotiations are evidence of that. Demanding that Germany and other NATO members start paying up, then actually doing something about it when they don't.....that's new.

Pulling troops out of Germany, where they are helping the German economy? They won't pay what they agreed to for their own and the common NATO defense. Hell yes they need to lose a bunch of our troops.

Trump has publicly berated and chastised Germany for supporting the Nordstream PPL. Why are we spending big money to protect Germany from Russia, and then Germany turns around and buys natural gas from....Russia? It boggles the mind, especially when they could buy our CNG instead, from a safe source that won't cut them off in the Winter, for leverage.

Peace through strength, ending wars, and not starting wars, is anathema to the uniparty who run the DNC and USED to run the RNC. The only group that kind of policy is good for is.....ordinary Americans like you and me.

It's why Trump is so hated by the entire establishment. Remember how GWB was a baby killer, killing innocent Iraqis because he hated brown people, etc.? Now, the left loves him. Why?

China seems to be spreading its tentacles, albeit, sanctions, public admonition, and tariffs. IMO the tariffs are a joke and never happened.

The question you should be asking yourself is, have all these experts proven to be right? Did the unstable maniac start WWIII? Did he lock gays in camps? Did he enact martial law across the US? Fact is, he didn't do any of that. What he did do, is faithfully try to make good on his campaign promises.

There's over 250 miles of new wall up, for example. Isn't this proof that Trump is unstable? He's fulfilling a campaign promise? Who does that? Trump is trying his best, within the current framework, to stop illegal immigration, just like he promised. That maniac, doing what he promised the American people he would do! Why aren't we in a world war right now? He's unstable, remember? Funny how a stream of stable, competent presidents all found the time to start new, unproductive wars that do not help me in any way, but Trump....that crazy bastard actually defeated ISIS, pulled a significant number of troops out of Syria, is trying to end the war in Afghanistan, and is not starting new wars. He's out of control! Dangerous! 50 quadrillion therapists agree.

Ask why what you are being told doesn't match what is actually happening.

Now, does Trump seem to go through a lot of staff? Yes. That's palace intrigue stuff, though, not proof of mental illness. It's proof that a lot of Trump's hires disagree on policy. Why do you think the generals all left one by one? They thought Trump was kidding about ending wars and no new wars. Shit, he's serious. He wants to pull out of Afghanistan. The generals don't want that. What's the point of being in the military if you're not actively warring against folks?

As John Bolton, Trump's National Security Advisor for 18 months said, "This nation will probably recover from one term of Trump but not two".

Yet he claims he won't vote for Biden but will wrie in a conservative Republican. I hear him BUT in the privacy of the voting booth what choice does he have?

On YT I believe ,Larry O'Donnel MSNBC program . a former Deputy Director of the FBI that briefed Trump claimed, Trump won't read. So they give him pictures with captions which he'll read or videos. They tailor the briefing to the style he likes. Very child like for a person in his position.

China is pursuing it's 'belt and roads' long term strategy, buying up raw materials from all over the planet, putting distribution systems in, and beefing up it's military. It's why Italy was hit so hard by the Wu flu. The Chinese have a bunch of their people in Italy, working on making Italy a de facto colonial outpost for China.

It's funny, ONLY Trump pointed out the danger of all of that. Only Trump pushed back on China. Nobody else did that, just Trump.

Is China fighting back, by unleashing the Wu flu on the world? You betcha. We have been at economic war with China for decades, it's just that now, the US has started to fight back. What's the better option? Just let China continue to **** the US AND become the dominant power? I'm sure they will be gentle with us, like they are with Hong Hong and Taiwan.

I mean, so what if American workers lose their jobs to China. Joe Biden's kid gets paid. Nancy Pelosi gets paid. Other Americans get paid. And our factories shutter and everything in the store is made in China.

Sadly, John Bolton's cartoon drawings of planes bombing brown people didn't work. Trump was too stupid to realize he's supposed to start a war. He couldn't figure out that he needed to send real life airplanes to bomb shit. Sigh. Bolton tried his best to get Trump to go to war, but Trump was just too stupid to do it.

Or...or, or.....hear me out. Bolton, a known war hawk, was brought in specifically to be a prop when Trump negotiates. "Hey, random country, I'm a peaceful guy, I just want fair trade and tourism, but this guy [points at Bolton], this guy here, he really REALLY wants to **** up your shit. Please help me, I don't want to bomb your shit.

Bolton finally figured out he wasn't getting the wars he wanted, and really, who wants to be used? I don't blame him for leaving in a huff and badmouthing Trump. Trump used him as a prop. He has to feel foolish to believe that he could have actually gotten Trump to start some wars.

If you're on the left, or even a bit moderate, why would you want to be on Team Bolton? Dude has never met a brown person he did not want to bomb, remember? Remember Code Pink? Remember how anti war the were? I'm on their phone text list. They really don't give a shit about anti-war now. Their goals have changed....or have they?

Is there really any solution for a country that is hell bent on expanding and cheating?
Other than all out armed war ?
China, as big as it is, is definitely a problem.

China, as big as it is, is definitely a problem.
~stop outsourcing all our production to them. We see the problem with this from the very crisis they caused, the Wu flu. Oh, gee, you need medicine, masks, ventilators, etc.? Uh, yeah, sorry can't help you.

~make trade fair

~fight theft of intellectual property

~build a coalition of other nations to do the same thing

China has a huge nut, a huge amount of people they have to feed. Hurting them economically, just like they hurt US economically, is going to have devastating consequences for the CCP.

If countries start onshoring manufacturing and jobs again, and even move their manufacturing from China to other low cost countries, that will hit China like a ton of bricks.

Booting out Chinese spies is important, too. They closed the Chinese consulate in Houston, because it was a hub for Chinese industrial spies. We've got a lot of trade secrets in our area.....fracking, chemical manufacturing, etc. They are in our universities, in the research departments, reporting back to China on the newest and best stuff we are inventing.

Trump is the only one who not only sounded the alarm, but is actively doing something about it, and it's hurting China.

Biden will not make an original decision that enters his brain.

Not one.

This country will dive into chaos and you will be sitting back smiling as it burns.

All over an unfounded hatred for one man that really never did anything that wrong.

You are a sad person that hates this country for some reason.
