That's a great idea! I'll need a bigger table, though, because I'll have to sleep in it. The dog thinks my bed is hers.

Awwww.

I had a similar experience with a big dog bed I made for a golden retriever about twenty years ago. He was in the woodshop when I made it for him. I was telling him the whole time that the project was for him, and he was going to love it. At one point I had it assembled on the floor of the workshop and went back inside to get his big cedar dog pillow that was in the house, to put into the bed. When I came back to the woodshop he was lying in the new bed, on its bare plywood bottom.

He did love that bed, too, for the rest of his life.

Now Mazie likes to fall asleep in it at night.

The idea to use a table is really awesome - I would not have thought to do that! I've also seen where people are re-purposing old suitcases now as pet beds as well.

That's great. At least you got your pet to use that bed. Our cats only like certain beds and won't lay in most of them. My wife theorized it was because she was buying them at PetsMart and other animals smells were getting on them. She bought one off Amazon recently for our big fat yellow cat to lay on since the bed he was using was getting nasty.

Nope, he won't lay on it. If you try to put him on it it's like you're trying to dunk him in freezing cold water. We even put his favorite blanket on it, and now he hates the blanket.

Great idea! Gonna' have to get ol' Brucey one pretty soon. At 20 lbs., he's about to wear out his favorite throw pillow he sleeps on.
