Default Hardtop Vert

I don't have the mad skills of Gary but I wanted to do a hardtop for the vert thinking I'll drive it more.

Found this guy in Pittsburgh who has tons of experience in boats and hardtops for earlier year vettes and other manufacturers. This is molded directly from an FRC/Z06 top and takes stock glass and uses stock latches in the front.

These are pics of the first one he did for his car. He learned some things that will be incorporated into mine which I should have in a week.

How is is secured down in the back? Looks like there is a gap between the window and back of the car.

I haven't seen closeup pics of the rear latch setup yet. The gap around the botton of the window is because of the thickness of the weather stripping Chris used on this first one. He thought it would compress more. Mine will have different weather stripping and will sit closer.

Noice! But at $2700 plus paint to match, that's too rich for my blood.

UPDATE:

Chris (the guy making them) is changing his mold up a little. Still molded directly off the Z06 top and will still use stock Z glass. The front latches are the stock ones. I still haven't seen exactly how the rear is held down.

I spoke with him today and a couple more weeks. It will come painted and be less expensive than the Smoothline and I feel a much better product.
