Andrea is ½ black and ½ Spanish. We were all having dinner one day and I said, "Girls, let's go become millionaires. We've got this affirmative action thing nailed between us."



The thing is, we all want the house, 2 kids and white picket fence for our kids. In the end, though, we just really want them to be happy. I love Andrea like she was my own daughter. Now she is. She is a wonderful, caring person, she loves my daughter and they make one another happy.

Other than that...some of you guys are getting nasty and personal. Let's not have VB wind up as another CF...Red isn't closed minded, he just doesn't agree. I know gay people, and have a gay relative. I just don't like PDAs, what they do behind closed doors, and whether or not they'll go to hell for it, is their business and their problem.

Same here...I have distant gay relative, and I have a couple gay friends, we just do not discuss the subject and its not brought up. They understand that I am opposed to it, and respect that. I didnt start out being so opposed to gays...not at all, at first I was some what accepting, its the mentallity they carry, the way they make it a point to make as big a deal about it as possible, and the "Im here and im queer get used to it" mindset.....I will not have that tossed in my face and be expected to just accept it.....in fact the harder they push, the more i push back. It saddens me to see people who once opposed like me..just give up the fight..and say f*ck it...cant win...so why try.

Its like Alabama football...I was a fan...then they started winning and their supporters got cocky and rowdy... started throwing it in everyones face...their actions made me anti-Alabama football.


Its not the gays so much as the PDAs, the rainbow flags, the pride marches, the pride weeks, LGBT banks...cross dressing, butch lesbians, fairies....they do everything they can to stick out like a sore thumb, then cry foul when you single them out...

Also, fwiw, Ive gone to The upper P of Michigan, Makinaw Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, N.M., Arizona, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, And into Ohio.....Ive dipped my hands into the Mississippi River, put my Feet in the Gulf, and the Atlantic, LAke Michigan and Lake Huron...Ive been to the Worlds LArgest Christmas store in Frankenmuth Michigan...Disney World, Universal Studios, Burbon Street...Ive done pretty decent, but i do know of people my age who have never been beyond alabama....and thats sad.

I grew up in Michigan. Frankenmuth was (at least) a yearly trip. The Christmas store (Bronner's) is awesome.

Did you guys go to Zehnder's for their famous chicken dinners?

Nah, we left The Cottonwood Campground in Lansing at about 8am, went to Bronners, then back to The campground by about 5pm. I was more into their selection of Spartan memorabilia than their X_mas stuff, I did get 3 strings of bubble lights, cant find that crap down here...

The Next year we went to Macinaw, I really liked that trip, the Jet boat ferry was awesome...those suckers can get up and move.

As far as Christmas decorations go, if they make it, Bronner's probably has it.

Mackinac Island is really fun. There's an old Revolutionary War fort on the island. A lot of the original buildings are still standing; the barracks, hospital, etc. Some pretty cool lighthouses, as well.
