Perhaps I'm crazy
I'm thinking that (insert major auto manufacturer here) would go for a sponsorship package where, in exchange for use of an SUV for three years (term of a lease) and some amount of cash -$50K-$75K (to cover expenses) we would:
1. Wrap said vehicle with our branding and their branding 2. Feature said vehicle in our program 3. Shoot and deliver a special web series behind the scenes featuring said vehicle 4. Create and implement a social media program and microsite to feature above web series. Either direct from mfg or from large dealership. We have three national distributors and hope to nail down Time Warner Cable On Demand as another. We can deliver significant eyeballs. At the end of the deal (after three years) we return the vehicle. Crazy? Also, anyone have contacts at Ford, GM, Toyota or ??? We've already worn out one Explorer - Ford would be great. |

Lease an SUV for three years. Set up several pr0N websites.
Advertise for said websites on SUV. Profit. |

Ok, weird coincidence. Just got a call from a nationally syndicated radio show about cars. I contacted them with the same question in the OP.
They are connected with large dealerships in major markets. Already have introduction to huge Ford dealership. He thinks "slam dunk". Not a lease. They'd give us the truck. I'll believe it when I see it but I think this guy knows his business. Wow. |

Hell, we know you're crazy.
But go ahead and make the pitch anyway. Not a bad Idea. Worst they can do is laugh at ya. |

Seems like a great way to advertise the services of a dealership (oil changes, new tires, etc). Although, most dealerships do this with many of their courtesy transport vehicles...the more rolling billboards you have, the more "eyeballs". You could set up the social media for " Dealer name Owners" on FB or something, and peoeple can openly discuss their experiences, recommend service techs, and create a buzz about the company. Seems like a win-win to me. But then again, I'm a marketing/sales nerd, so YMMV.
