We haven't put a tree up yet, maybe tomorrow. Wifey is worried that the boys will mark the tree, which Loki has done in the past. If we get a real tree, not a big deal as it will get tossed in a month. If we put up the artificial tree, it would be a big deal, as the tree would be covered in piss. I don't think we could run it through the dishwasher...

And for sure, if we put up a tree and put gifts under it, they will be stolen. Bandit was named appropriately, and Harley-Belle has a longer rap sheet than Bandit does.

Son was standing next to me yesterday before lunch said he was staying home from work as he felt like was getting sick. Good idea I told him and he was correct. Sick as hell today, cough, 103 fever this afternoon, body aches and all this was proceeded by days of stomach issues.
I just know I'll get it and he will have to die

I don't think any(maybe once) have our huskies marked our tree. They have however marked the in laws tree every year. Ours have loved to rip the paper off gifts.

Welded up a mount for Starlink after dinner last night, needs mounting holes drilled and painted.
Used some thick walled 1 1/4 tubing had laying around from some project.

600 up front and 120 a month(more than I wanted to pay). Don't buy from Starlink otherwise 50 for shipping. Best buy and Home Depot have free shipping.
Some Amazon sellers aren't authorized or some BS and can't activate. Also used can be problematic if the previous owner doesn't transfer it(won't register again).

The comments on the net of which way to point it are all over. Closest person to me was in Virginia and said NNE basically. It auto tracks so I just slapped kinda facing NE and it found its happy spot. It has an app built in will show any obstructions(can use phone if new enough and it shows immediately) after 6 hrs they show up. Mine is too low and says obstruction every 8 minutes. The satellites move around it appears.

They toyed with cutting speed early this year if exceeded certain data point, they dropped it almost immediately from backlash. It's faster than Time Warner my friend has in the city. Some days we can't stream on 2 tvs there.
I had 8 devices hooked and streaming movies or youtube at 1080 yesterday and zero buffering.

The router is A Mesh router also so that's a plus.
The setup can be a tad flaky I guess but eventually it worked fine.
There are literally ZERO instructions included. There's 3 pictures with no writing, put dish outside, hook to inside router and download the app. Not kidding I was like WTF really zero instructions?

The mount options are all over the place, have flagpole adapters, roof mount, under eave, eave, even magnet mounts for steel roof. Need inside diameter 1 5/8 for a mount. Believe its different size than say a Dish Network mount(couldn't find my old one to check) but they sell an adapter cheap so could reuse old sat mount even.
Running the cable inside will be an issue as the end is huge and proprietary. I was going to use same chase as networking cables but it isn't going to fit I fear so I will be putting a larger chase in for it and security camera feeds.
It has a heater built in to melt snow and ice off it, it says not effected by weather. We shall see as it'll be pouring tomorrow.
