How many forums have you been banned from?

I lost count. Best guess, five. One for calling the mods out as Barney Fife. Another one for finding a blatant error in a moderator's analysis of a car electrical problem. One who the owner was from California, I repeatedly made fun of California.

The best one, in a political forum, I repeatedly destroyed some guy's arguments, so he bought the forum then banned me.

I've been online since 1994 and have never been banned from any forum. I've been on too many to count: Political, guns, motorcycles, chit chat, machining, computers, seniors, you name it.

And the only "warning" I ever got was about 5 years ago at "that other place" -- the mod thought I was pissed at another poster when I really wasn't. If the mod had actually read the thread "it" would have known.

Then a 24-hour ban there last December, don't remember why. Haven't been back. The internet's a big place.

Edit: I now recall, the ABC affiliate shut down their comment section, so I wasn't banned. The regulars went over to the NBC affiliate where....I guess my views weren't popular with NBC.

Similar experience. My "online adventure" began in 1994 as well. I have no idea how many message boards I have joined, dozens for sure. Car forums, long distance running, bicycling, guitar, among others.

In nearly three decades, I received discipline from exactly ONE, CF, including being banned for 6 weeks or so for "posting in a bar thread", when I had not posted in a bar thread in more than TWO YEARS.
