Did not read the article but did have spacers on my old ZR2 in the rear only with no problems for years.Would never try them up front.

It happens. My van got pegged in the driver door by a runaway tire once. Saw incoming motion off to the side and ducked down over the console just as it hit. Almost put me up on two wheels. The guy supposed someone removed his lug nuts to cause a crash.

Why did it have to bounce off anything? It caught up with the car after it became stationary.

At no time did it stop rolling in the same direction
