SBC cyl disabling .....fuel economy....

I looking at the firing order of the SBC 18436572 or said another way

4365 and 7218 so to kill the injector batches arranged as 4 corners and 4 center cylinders......

so to kill say the injectors in the middle cylinders and keep the corners alive,

wonder if it would be possible....maybe have to arrange cutting one bank/side or the other.....say for 4th gear steady highway cruising at 80 mph....

even by just putting a switch in the car to kill 1/2 the cylinders......

wonder how that wood work??? anyone ever loose say one group of cylinders with the injectors wired in parallel out of the 8 and run on 4 cylinders for a while...???

If GM and Dodge can't figure out how to do this without grenading engines, I'm pretty sure you don't want to do it to your car, either.
