Someone once said Greed is good, and it is now legal.

Greed does exist and is typically the motivator behind successs. Not always but typically so.

It is good but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed but is crossed more than it should be.

Unions cross it all the time. Corporations cross the line all the time. I think many people intend on being fair and honest and are driven to do so. But too many times selfishness and greed take over all rational thought.

As long as we continue to have this fight nothing will get resolved. If I wasn't correct we wouldn't be having this discussion.

President Johnson tried to get rid of poverty and look at how it has worked, I guess Obama likes what Johnson tried, because he is doing it on steroids, some ready for those of us taxed enough already and those of you who think we need to be taxed more.

BACK ON UNCLE SAM'S PLANTATION

I have seen the result of what this
lady is talking about. After WWI, the German people were beaten and had
nothing. Hitler came to power and put everyone onto the plantation
(socialism). Having nothing, the people came under a false sense of
security and welcomed government handouts. Once a proud nation, they
became a nation depending on government handouts. It took less
than 10 years for Hitler and the Nazi party to hold an entire nation
hostage under their rule of socialism. The rest is history and I
think we are all familiar with WWII. When I was 3 years old, Germany was
totally defeated and I can tell you what the aftermath of a totally
destroyed nation was like. Something, I hope my kids and
grandchildren will never have to witness nor experience. We are
living in the greatest Nation that ever existed because of the hard
work, the relentless dedication to a great Nation, the freedom we so
dearly enjoy, the endless natural resources of this Nation, and a
military that is second to none. Let's not let this great Nation
become a Nation depending on handouts and let a worthless government
drag us down like Hitler did the German people. I am sorry if I
offended anyone, but I love this country way too much to see it fall
apart.

Where'd ya go Joe? I have to admit, I was kinda hoping that you would explain to me how Ethiopia and Burundi are better than us since according to your interpretation, that's what the numbers that you posted seem to say.

Actually most of that was Kennedy's proposals, and with the assassination sympathy vote, they passed under LBJ.....

back in the day, LBJ would have been against all that crap....

this country would have been FAR better off ignoring the entire MLK protest crap, and leaving the .gov outta the equation....

having lived the life, and done the home service calls from earliest 60's through black and integrated regions of DC and seeing the decline through the 60's to the point that in the 70's it was decided to redline some regions that were never redlined before....why? thieves would strip the trucks when the tech was in the house, or stick him up on the street....and then they wondered why BANKS wouldn't finance there???

I was there, I saw it myself, I know what happened, and nothing Joecool can say will alter my own obvious observations.....

Not if you include "income" from investments.

About 20% of millionaires in this country inherited their wealth. Those people are not what I was call "those who did". For those with over 10 million net worth, the percentage is higher. Something like 40% of the Forbes 400 inherited either all or at least most of their money.

And ... ??

You dont think they have to work to maintain their wealth? Even if it is inherited, what entitles anyone to their money??

What percentage of Welfare recipients are 2nd and 3rd generation?
Why do you want to take money saved and invested by smart people and give to the dumb ones ? What does that do to the ability of the USA to produce the GDP growth needed to drive improvement in all of our lifestyles?

Why do you want to punish good behavior and reward bad behavior?

worse...

Mr Coool is on record as saying 100% of ones assets should go to the government upon death.

God forbid a man leaves his family the business...or the farm...or the classic vette...or those old silver dollars...

Cool = Commie. It is that simple.
Many a farm has had to be sold to pay taxes on inheritance. It's really sad. And most of the people who supposedly inherit it, worked it their whole lives as well, so is it really inheritance?

Let me make this very Clear.

F**k them. In almost all cases they did it to themselves and they deserve to earn their way back to prosperity by working hard, saving and stop doing stupid things.

And I'd also like the fact that we have opposing viewpoints in this thread and yet, they are discussed rationally and intelligently by all parties without baiting or name calling. It CAN be done.

Good on all of ya.

Greed is the cry of the loser?

No it's not! But it does sound catchy.

Upon questioning their ideologies , Liberals always walk away without answering.....as they know ANY answer would expose the complete utter bat shit craziness they try to pawn off on Americans.....
