Ryan's proposal would require those under 55 to plan for higher out of pocket payments, Issue vouchers to people so THEY can spend the money the best way they can and do means testing for those who make higher incomes. How does that "End Medicare"

I , personally, would love to see each and every entitlement program killed tomorrow and let the chips fall where they may. The government has proven over the decades they will piss away whatever tax receipts they get on programs that keep them in office now VS what is the correct fiduciary responsibility.

an example...
eliminate the food stamp program TODAY...and you will find that less than 7 million of the 47 million currently in the program would starve. those 7 mil or so, I and others in America will gladly assist.

I'm not even against the government helping the 7 million...but no way I can believe there are 47 million Americans starving.

conservatives are not heartless as the media paints...however, let the chips fall...and we can weed out the millions abusing the system. continue to expand these programs...and you will forever grow the entitlement class.

and this difference my friend...is the big divide betwen traditional free market folks...and president Obama.

In a free capitalist society...there will be winners & losers...some don't figure out the game, or don't try. Obama doesn't want any losers, and will do whatever possible to level the field. This policy direction just creates more entitlement minded people. Look at western Europe.

My open challenge to Progressives.

Show me one civilization that has survived once it has offered Welfare? I have found none. It is a destructive program that destroys a civilization from within. And the worst part is , in almost all cases, it leads to a directorial style of government which is almost always controlled by the rich to the determent of the poor.
