Now, there was a MEGA-FRENCH BABE at the hotel's front desk checking out. This hottie was a strong 9, she was blonde with green eyes, and was speaking this sexy english with french accent. I tried to lay the smack down, but she was way out of my league, and ignored me 500%. Again she was a strong 9, and she was dressed. Sweet, one last thing. I ate at a restaurant called Boston Pizza. I ate the jambalaya, and that was delicious, I ordered the lasagna to-go, ate it for dinner about 6 hours later, and it also was a awesome chow. If any of you ever go to Canada look-up for one of these chain restaurant. |

Nice!... What was your gasoline cost on this trip? I have work back east once a month- Maybe I could drive out one time just for fun.

NICE!
Curious: how do you plan these trips or is it fly by the seat of your pants (i.e. you plan for a spot, then decide to follow this highway)? Those are some great pics of Canada. |

No idea, the new GPS is a "smart GPS", but the eco application connects to the OBD2....Betty Boop is not OBD2. The old GPS was great, I could input the price, and amount everytime I filled up. Quote:
This trip was initially planned for three Vettes to go to the Coca-Cola 600. Tail of The Dragon was my idea, after the NASCAR race the plan was to drive to Little Bighorn, Canada, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helen and back to California. Monday after the race we split because we had different ideas. I drove to Florida, then realized I had nowhere to be, and drove north. To vist the Jack Daniels Distillery sounded like a great idea! I already had my passport with me, so I decided to go solo up to the Rockies. The tornado/storm made me drive thru those states FAST, and almost took a detour. You already seen the photos, that was some scary weather there. The only time I've seen the sky like that was in the news, and the movies. Once I passed the storm front in Kansas, I started to search for attractions in the GPS. The first one was the Wizard of OZ, Eisenhower, and after that one there was nothing up there. There was a mammoth skeleton around 200 miles from Highway 14 in South Dakota, and Yellowstone. I chose to go north towards Canada. The Crown Royal Distillery was too far into Canada, and I hope to visit that one sometime in the future. On my way down, I almost go to Mt. Rainier, but you can see that big monster from the freeway, and I took a photo from St. Helen's helo ride. By the time I got to the end of the 504 Hwy/St. Helens I was burnt out. I'm already brain storming the next one. Here are the last set. Mount St. Helens They believe the rock on that lake (formed after the eruption) was St. Helen's hilltop |

Flying towards the crater That eruption had some power behind it, look at the pictures how the place still looks today (33 years later). Mount Rainier When that sucker blows up, all hell will brake loose. That thing is way bigger than St. Helens. Flying over the crater, the magma is active, and you can see smoke coming out of it. Needless to say, it is growing, and someday may look like a mountain again. |

The pilot was concerned about me sticking the camera out of the helicopter thru a small window. I told him, the camera was mine. Then, he got BUTT-HURT
Meet Mr. C5 Corvette convertible owner douche. Isn't he cool? It's a nice day, let's drive the C5... Oh let's stop here and check this point of interest... Let's put the cover, I don't want the Vette to get dirty... Let me tell you guys about Dark Red Metallic. It is the most unphotogenic paint in the world. I took over 20 pictures of this one using different settings. Normally any other picture would look good, not DRM. It is also very unfriendly to the photomatrix program. Photomatrixed Oregon's Border This Daytona merge into the freeway, I gave the guys a thumbs up, and he acknowledged. Isn't this Muscle car clean??!!?? This one was taken the day we drove thru Tail of The Dragon here it is |

Wow very nice Pete. I wish I could have gone. As you know, I like driving especially across country. I was giving my 28 yr old son a hard time when we drove back from Virgina last summer back to Hemet, CA. I told him we should have made it to where we check out certain aspects of each state before we leave. He agreed.
I think the others are right Pete. You should put together a travel book on where to stop and what to see. Speaking of traveling (and lack of maintenance on my C4), I noticed last night when I was checking fluids that my antifreeze is turning brown LOL. It started green about 4 years ago. Normally I check it each start of summer. Last summer it was still green, but now its almost all brown. |

8,848 Miles and Betty Boop didn't burn oil. This is incredible. She no longer has the kick she used to have, but obviously there is nothing wrong with the bottom end. She used to crank up to 140 MPH easily, this time after 100 she as struggling. Remember she is an early 95 model ( came out late 94), and all internal engine components are stock from factory. Perhaps it's time to give her a present...an Elliot Portworks LE2 head, cam & intake, roller lifters, and roller rockers package would wake her back up. The End Charlie, A travel book would be something I would only share with this forum C4 members, and very few from the CF. That new generation there are a bunch of maroons. I remember before the internet existed. I did few trips on my Z28, and my 92 Vert. All I did is the same shit I do today. Check fluids, tire pressure, money in the wallet, and a highway Atlas. I must say the GPS helps to find attractions, and historic places to visit, but I keep wondering how those Muscle Car era cars travel across country at 8- MPG running a Hemi, 427, 454, 429 with 4.11 differentials etc etc Note: The only good thing about Canada's lousy low speed limit was that I was getting 26 MPG. |

Pete, loving the pics. You say Betty Boop is stock internally...I thought it was modded? Or is it just the exhaust? My memory must be going

The 4L60E is stock, and the G92 differential with his crappy MPG 3.07 gears are also stock. The resonator, and mufflers are Magnaflow. The whole suspension has poly bushings, and aftermarket sport monosprings with HD Bilsteins. The front brakes are Hawk Rotors, C5 Z06 calipers, and braided steel lines. Dewitts radiator + 160° Stat, and it has a PCM for less tune. At a point in her life 2006-2010 Betty Boop was a car show Vette, but she has never been a lousy garage queen. I really liked that plate.... Now, The Ghost is a different story, it will be easier to say that the only stock piece in The Ghost is the ZF6. |
