I ues OTC scanners. So don't hold this as the same as yours. We I get an error like lost commuacation or no info it is usaly the cars fault. I would be nice cool if you had a like vehicle you could test it on.

When I get another Xray (new) and still lose connection, then I'll know it's the car. Strange that these do that as I'm sure the Vetronix Tech 1's seldom lost connection.

Yeah me too. I was wondering about the cables that hook up to your laptop can you pull codes this way also or better off with the code reader?

Datamaster is suppose to be the shizzle with OBD1 software for the computer. They show it sold with cables, but then note they don't have the OBD1 cables anymore. There are other places you can buy them.

I want one scanner to be able to read both my 92 and 98, so this is why I'm leaning away from just an OBD1-Only system. The AXray6000 is suppose to do pretty good with both.

Yeah I would want one that you could use on all your vehicles.
