Pete...any thought to a smoke tinted clear? Some of these carbon fiber kits look like that's what they used.

AHa, That's it. I did it few more times and gave it a light coat of black and it didn't look right.

I did a sign and an old jack I have junked. The problem is that the canned paint is not good for quality work. It may work for the small interior parts, but once I paint those they are done. They already have four coats of DRM paint.

I need to pick up your brains. The tool chest drawer lining's squares are too big for my taste. What would have the same pattern with smaller squares?

Take a trip to a fabric store or the sewing section of wal mart. Some of those bolts of lace cloth should have just what you need. Or maybe the plastic that comes with those latch hook kits (got some help on this one from the wife...)

This is the can from yesterday. I found a "carbon" paint and gave it a light coat on top
of the old clear coat and re-coated it with clear.



Today with a new stencil I invented last night.
