Default China threatens to nuke Japan.

China threatens to nuke Japan over Taiwan in video played on CCP-sanctioned channel
Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso urged dialogue to resolve any issue
By Peter Aitken | Fox News

The Chinese Communist Party aired a video in which it warned Japan of a nuclear response and "full-scale war" if the island nation interferes in China’s handling of Taiwan.

The video, which appeared on a channel approved by the CCP, singles out Japan as the one exception to China’s policy to not use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear powers.

"We will use nuclear bombs first," the video said. "We will use nuclear bombs continuously. We will do this until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time."

The CCP claims that it will "liberate Taiwan," and it warns against Japan deploying "one soldier, one plane or one ship."

The video was deleted from Chinese platform Xigua after gaining 2 million views, but copies were uploaded to YouTube and Twitter, Taiwan News reported.

The threats follow comments made two weeks ago by Japanese officials about Taiwan’s sovereignty, with Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso saying that Japan must "defend Taiwan," The Japan Times reported.

"If a major incident happened (over Taiwan), it’s safe to say it would be related to a situation threatening the survival (of Japan). If that is the case, Japan and the U.S. must defend Taiwan together," Aso said.

However, Aso insists that Japan would resolve any issue through dialogue. Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato said that a Taiwan contingency is a "hypothetical situation."

China Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Zhao Lijian urged Japan to adjust its "mentality" over the issue, Sky News Australia reported.

"We once again urge Japan to approach the relevant issues with the right mentality, and show its respect for China's sovereignty and sincerity in upholding regional peace and stability," Lijian said.

"I must stress that, Taiwan is part of China and the Taiwan question is purely China's internal affair," Lijian added. "China never allows interference in the Taiwan question in any form by any country."

Lijian stressed that Taiwan is part of the Chinese plans for reunification.

With Biden and the woke leadership of our military this country will no longer be a threat to China or the terrorist.

Perhaps not, but I'm sure they'd write a strongly-worded statement with small words he could read if China attacked Japan, which is all he'd do.

I’m surprised China hasn’t already nuked Japan after what Japan did during WWII. I guess Covid accomplished the same thing.

It will be a challenge for him to be a friend to China and not take action against Japan. As it is a challenge for him to support Socialism and the Cuban oppressed people of color.

Dems are very adept at failing when they try to play both sides.

I heard Biden is confident China will not Nuke Japan. He did pass them a note with a list of 16 countries he will not allow them to nuke.

Japan only said they would help us defend Taiwan. If we don't step up Japan probably wouldn't stick their neck out.

Well, unless there's a South Pacific League of Nations formed to resist Chinese aggression. I could definitely picture them joining something like that because if all those other countries fall they're next on the menu.

A few weeks ago on TV it stated the reason why China wants Taiwan. China is building a submarine fleet and China has a shallow ocean coast which makes it easy for the US and others to find it's submarines and track them.

Taiwan has a deep ocean coast line.

Subs surface before entering or leaving port, they don’t enter a port submerged and surface inside a building.

That contradicts every James Bond movie I have ever seen.

The major US Trident submarine base on the East Coast (Kings Bay) is several miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Incoming/outgoing subs have to surface and transit several miles through a channel in pretty shallow water

I rode Tridents in the 80s; I was told we could practically surface at the pier if need be. And Puget Sound is a long transit to Bangor.

While you might have been able to do that there, why bother? It’s an easy target on the surface, whether at sea or in port. Here’s the Google Maps view of the King’s Bay sub base just north of here. The river is too shallow for them to get to the base submerged, but even if they could those two long buildings are where they do maintenance, resupply, change out missiles, etc. Those are easy targets if the SHTF. It’s the rest of the subs out at sea somewhere the enemy needs to worry about.

I don't disagree, but it stands to reason that the sooner a boat can Dive..Dive...the sooner it can go undetected.

That said...I always figured China wanted Taiwan because the rest of the world didn't want them to. It's a power grab for the sake of a power grab.

No argument. It's not a matter of leaving port or entering.

The program showed the shading of the China coast and the shallow depth extends for miles. Might be 100's of miles. I'm guessing being submerged at those sallow depths they can be tracked.

So you can flag BS all you want. I'm going with what the TV program stated. I don't recall the name of the program.

EDIT: Found the below and linked article

"The latter capability is particularly important in those waters, where the shallow Taiwan Strait meets the deeper South China Sea. To the east, the Bashi Channel connects them to the Pacific through the Philippine Sea."

"The South China Sea's deep waters are "favorable" for Chinese submarine activity, and the proximity to Taiwan is the reason for "the frequent presence" of anti-submarine aircraft, said Su Tzu-yun, director of the defense strategy and resource division at the Institute for National Defence and Security Studies, a Taiwanese state-backed think-tank.

The Bashi Channel "can be considered as an underwater corridor from which Chinese submarines can enter the Philippine Sea and launch strikes against the US West Coast," Su told Insider."
