2 man best ball. My best hole was a birdie for net eagle on the Par 5 #16 after topping my drive for a gain of 70 ish yards. Thad had a chip in sandie birdie on #9 for a net eagle. It was a great day.

There's a tournament that I played in a few times, Ozark Amateur. Format is two days stroke play, first day you play with your friends and set your flight level. You shoot X, you'll be grouped with others in the tournament that shot around that. Usually 144 players, 12 flights of 12. Last one I was in, I shot an 81 first day. The players in my flight on day 2 shot either 80, 81, or 82. OK.

Oh, there's a rule. You can't shoot better than 10 strokes from day 1 to day 2.

Next day the 11 other guys in my flight shot low 70's, every one. Like the worst was a 75. I shot...80. Because what's what I was shooting then. Last place in my flight. I got the message, this tournament just isn't for me. I don't know how to sandbag. Not really. I get the concept, but purposefully messing up my score? Nah.

I truly wish I had enough control over my game to sandbag. In the last 2 months I have posted scores anywhere from 85 to 106. Just depends on which of those days is a tournament as to how well I do.
