Lovers of the P-51D step inside...
Today was a complete accidental stroke of luck for me. Long story short, I take my eldest son and a friend to visit some other friends in Peachtree City GA. I see a P-51 fly over. Ask parent of said friend where airport was (2 miles away), and I had 0 to do for 5 hours. P-51 is landing at airport when I get there, so I track it down. Turns out it belongs to the Commemorative Air Force at said airport. I end up hanging out with those guys and their aircraft at the shop all day. To say I had a ball is an understatement, and I have an open invitation to come back!

Had the pleasure of being around them, they are neat for sure. I have a pic of myself standing on Risky Business after it was repo'd by the bank. It's still out there somewhere, but I think they changed the name...
I see them quite frequently actually. There are a few hangared at the airport I work at (Van Nuys), and since I only live a few miles from work, I see them flying around quite a bit...usually every weekend.  Nothing sounds like a Merlin.
