Lies about inflation:

1. Inflation is transitory; no, the recent "high" is "baked" into the economy forever
2. Inflation is global, nothing anybody can do - then why pass an Inflation Reduction Act
3. Inflation is coming down, no its not the "rate" of increase is coming down
4. Inflation is 3.4%; no its not, that figure is "core" inflation, doesn't count food or gas
5. There is no inflation; its shrinkflation; those damned money grubbing vendors

What's funny about inflation is that the investor class loses little if any. Widget futures, land, real estate more-or-less keeps up with inflation. Money in savings accounts, where the poor have their money (if they have any) loses value. And the poor tend to vote for the assholes who cause inflation.

So the poor vote for their own demise.

Ultimately, inflation is another government created problem and will never be solved by the government. Probably be solved by hyperinflation, if history rhymes?

I’ve been accumulating dollars to buy a nice collectible car and other assets, “when there's blood in the streets.” Not going to lie, I’m getting nervous. Prices aren’t coming down as quickly as I hoped. If we end up in a bigger war, a bank holiday or some other type of disaster, I think these “dead presidents”, could be worthless overnight?
