Default Replacement Radiator

After replacing hoses I still have a leak. After further investigation it looks as if the leak is a little above the lower hose on the radiator side. Hard to tell as there is a lot of plastic and the electric fan hosing, need to remove as much as I can to get a better look. I noticed a lot of steam and coolant is in that area.
Has anyone replaced there radiator? Is this something I should take and have some one do? I'm not afraid to do just do not want to get in over my head if it is complicated or tricky.

Not a huge project. I think you can handle it. Are you replacing the radiator or having it repaired?

Can't go wrong with a DeWitts radiator but they aren't cheap. Could check GM Parts House for factory replacement.

Thanks Munch! I will check around. I need to have this one checked to be certain it is the issue before I slap down the Green bucks!! I have a good feeling this is the issue..

I have had a DeWitts in my boosted C5 going on 5 years now and it is a direct fit. They now have two versions a shorter one for the boosted crowd and the one I have. We lowered mine a tad to make it fit, you can not go wrong with this radiator if you plan on modding, otherwise it is probably more than you will need

I bought a slightly beefed up radiator from A&A corvette. Looking at their site I dont see it listed anymore though. It uses the stock end tanks and an about half again thicker core. It was $250 or thereabouts IIRC and is a direct fit. Here's a pic showing the difference in core thickness. If interested you should call A&A, they may still have it avaialble and just not listed on their new site.

Wish you would have posted that One earlier, I like it. I went back with stock. Installed and back on the road.

Is that the one for an automatic? Is the brass fitting for the trans cooler?

Yes, IIRC that's the only way it came. I might eventually run the PS line through it.
