Santa in Bantayan 2014
Hey Guys & Gals,
I see from a few comments in other threads lately that some of you want to do this again this year. I am really hoping we can, and have been looking forward to seeing all of the smiles from the little ones again this year. Not sure if everyone knows or not, but as Dixie mentioned in the pay it forward thread he will not be able to make it over here this year. He did leave his Santa suit here so he didn't have to pack it back and forth to the USA so we will have to find someone else to play the part as Santa just this year, I'm sure Rob will be here for next years Christmas Party for the kids, or hope so anyway. If by chance any of you can get away for a few weeks, and would like to head over here, I would love to have the help and would enjoy the company. We have the guest house here and also plenty of room in the main house.. so the more that want to come the merrier!  I know it is late notice, and hard to get away, but wanted to invite you all to join us here.  Last year we ended up spending about $1500 total for the Christmas.. The original goal last year was $1200 based on 400 kids but it quickly went over that... I ended up buying extra toys as I did not to see even one kid go without, and luckily we did.. as while we had only planned on about 400 kids, it ended up being over 550 kids.. the left over toys from the Christmas eve party here in our village, we gave away to the next village over on Christmas day. Some support stuff I bought last year like a few Christmas trees and decorations we still have here so won't need to do it again. Also last year we gave away small plastic sacks of food (Pancit) to most of the kids and also did a huge cooking of chickens and other foods. That really did not turn out as well as planned as the food was not ready in time for the first kids that came through the line, and not enough to make it for all of the kids that came through the line, so may just skip this part this year. I'm going to guess we need about $1400 to make this happen.. some of the kids are now over the age of 11 so wont be back again (but no one gets refused) and more babies have been born so I'm going to guess it will still be around 550 kids again. If anyone wants to help out for the Kids Christmas this year... here is my Paypal email again below. Just for fun I dug through last years photos and grabbed some of the funny ones..

Malapascua is not very far and we can make it over there in a half day.. google it to see if you like it. Also Bohol has many good coral reefs and dive resorts to check out, but a day, or day and a half trip from here.. not that I mind a bit to do it. We are on island time here... so nothing happens fast... I am not certified, but did a dive class in the Bahamas.. and have done many many shallow dives here, as the rules are not so strict here.. but depends on where we go. C'mon!

Just to update everyone on how we are doing so far.. we already have $400
People who have already sent funds in for the Kids Christmas Toys in the order received so far. GentleBen datawiz Chris Fowler I have also talked to a few without paypal accounts that plan to mail checks to Dixie Thank You Guys!
