it is amazing, and disheartening to have to listen to all the stupid things people say to you when they find out a loved one of yours has passed away.

sometimes they don't mean to sound uncaring and stupid, other times, i'm not so sure. so i mostly tune them out if it's not some version of "i'm sorry to hear of your loss".

When those close to me dies I am glad they have no more pain,I am glad that
they have eternal life and no pain in Heaven.
There is no lose ,if you believe. We all get the same ticket.
One way to Heaven.

As a Catholic, there are sanctioned prayers for every occasion. We were taught as kids numerous prayers to memorize. Since I've never had a good memory, I quickly forgot them. God doesn't care that I don't repeat some mantra.

But I do pray often. But more as an ongoing conversation with Him. Many times I ask for patience, forgiveness, or safety. Several times I've been stumped on a technical issue, asked Him to help me figure a solution, and my prayer had been answered.

Religion has nothing to do with prayer or your belief in God. Prayer is a private, individual conversation between you and God. Religion plays no part in it.

I pray many times a day, not because I think I have to, but because I want to. Prayer isn't always about asking, it's about praising.
