I had the china virus back about 2 years ago.
It was just the flu that lasted longer than normal.

I had it during the Delta era. It was a lot more than that to me. Took over 2 weeks to fully get over it.

It killed my Dad 6 months later.

OP, I get you. Got the covid just before the last 2 weeks of a 25 cruise I was on. Felt like someone hit me in the back and chest with a baseball bat. For 2 weeks I spent most of my time in my cabin watching TV, sleeping and ordering room service; I didn't want to infect anyone else. Got outside by going to outside grill and sitting on my balcony.


My wife never got it. She had gotten the most recent booster and I did not. We had earlier met 4 other couples at the beginning of the cruise and had a great time sailing with them. My wife continued to have a great time and I had a shitty one. I finally tested negative after I got home but by then it was too late.


Perhaps I should have gotten the latest booster when my wife did. Did I screw up?
