Turn signals only let others know your intentions. Never a good idea behind the wheel here in America's Wang.

I only use the turn signal for misdirection. Signal left and go right, that type of shit.

Depending on which urban blighted city you are in (Detroit and Chicago spring readily to mind) the people behind you (a) may not know how to read English and (b) may not have an official driver's license and therefore not know what the "blinky thing" means.

That's the way Orlando is too...One of the first times I rode with my Dad in Orlando after I moved there, he tried to use a turn signal...car sped up my dad wasn't expecting it and we almost had a collision. The only way to drive in Orlando is either ignore the turn signals, or send some misdirection.

I always use my turn signals, even in parking lots. Having said that, a turn signal means, "hey I'm asking nicely," but it also means, "hey douchebag, I'm coming over."

Sometimes you just have to force the issue, especially when pulling a long trailer.

Almost no one uses them here, except for me. I was kind of surprised my Porsche has them; I don't think I've ever seen a signal on a German car here.
