Default Picked up a little Miata!

It’s beautiful. My Mazda management peers (when we, Ford owned this rightfully honorable and esteemed but marginally profitable small company) treated the tiny little studio where the Miata was designed in Irvine as hallowed ground. All good. But, except for those of you giving it as a toy for your wife, kindly hand over your man card. I’ve driven them. They are a nice and tame little car that they (forthrightly and admittedly) copied/updated from the failed Triumph and MG. All good! But, your M-Cards, please. This is actually a Corvette forum and a properly tuned cylinder 1 or 2 one will pulverize any my-yacht-ah on its best day.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every one I have owned. Especially the little '91 turbo car. Actually thought about getting one for a work car. Great gas mileage and a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

Slick little car. Put an LT-5 motor in it and you're good to go.

At least you didn't pick up a big Miata! That would kind of defeat the purpose.

Agree with the transmission comments, but our family is Miata friendly for sure. GWiz corners the market on NA's

bought a 90/91 from a friend that bought it new and it was reliable and fun!

A big difference in the '79 Fiat Spider that I had once owned and had nothing but trouble with. Loved the styling, but it sucked ass for reliability.

Restored a few of those. Parts cheap, easy to work on, etc...but, can be absolute rust buckets for the majority of them.

Do you know WHY they are "Tame" from the factory? It was a design feature and done with the intention of being that way.
