In 50 years of driving, I'm sure I have been pulled over by the police 50 times or more. Most of it when I was very young and driving loud cars. I have never been asked to get out of the car, and I have received three moving violations, all of them minor. When I was young, I got pulled over....a significant number of times. I've been asked to get out of the truck several times, including once when I was driving some customers to the Hill Country for a hunting weekend. It was cold, I wasn't wearing shoes or socks, so that fat ****er had me stand out on the cold, wet grass while he asked me about guns.

Of course we have guns, we're going hunting! I had a HPD cop get me out of the truck when I was pulling a trailer. I had apparently made a too sharp turn and pulled the plug out of the truck, so it was dragging the ground, and as a result, my trailer lights weren't working.

Not only did I get hauled out of the truck for something it doesn't take Columbo to figure out, he wrote me a ticket for the left tail light AND another one for the right tail light.

Have I had some dick level police stops? Absolutely. Am I whining about it and calling those cops racist? No. Man up and just get over that some cops make ticky tack stops.

There are really good cops out there, but the blue wall does exist and even the good ones have tow the line.

I've been watching Live PD for about two years now and it amazes me how many people they pull over that have no registration, no driver's license, no ID of any kind, no insurance, etc. And it's not limited to any one race. It's everybody. I really think these days if you get pulled over and you are not drunk and all your paperwork is in order, you're halfway home free.

We had a problem in my county about 10-20 years ago with the Sheriff's dept. tending to beat the living shit out of Mexicans they arrested. Just ask any Nurse working in the ER. My wife said it got to the point where you could tell by the type of injuries which Deputy did it. We voted that Sheriff out of office and things got cleaned up quickly.

Cops are there to do what is necessary to arrest someone and take them to jail. Not to punish people with physical violence for what they did.

Well, first of all, they don't look like a clean cut Hispanic family, man, woman, and two kids. If I was knowingly passing counterfeit money, I wouldn't bring my family with me, unless you're saying they were just brought along as props.

If I was passing counterfeit money, I would be making small purchases, pack of gum, a soda, whatever, so I could get the real change, not paying for a restaurant meal where a waiter and others would have an extended period of time to look at me and really see what I look like.

I think they don't bother to show the people who get tickets for 70 in a 60 and then just drive off. You're seeing a skewed perspective, of only the 'interesting' stops. How captivating would it be to see me get pulled over fo 62 in a 50, having my tag up to date, valid license and insurance, with no warrants, drugs, or stolen TV's in the back? No one would watch that.

For the most part, the show is live. They don't get to pick and choose so much what stops to show. if nothing interesting is happening, they move onto something else. But when the initial stop is shown, no one knows what's going to happen most of the time.

I remember when I was a kid my dad used to say counterfeiters get caught because they are greedy, meaning they print large denomination bills. He used to say if someone printed $5 bills they would probably never get caught.
