Important diagnostic question: If you put your face over the hole at the bottom of the toilet and flush it, what does it sound like?

You may want to get a new clean one. I flush mine with alcohol now and then and replace it every few months or so. Most pharmacies sell them.

Yes it will work but in a different way. It will turn your ear into a mini volcano, turning your earwax into foam that bubbles up and spills out of your ear. It makes an interesting sound.

It's a good way to remove wax buildup maybe a couple of times per year. Thing is, after doing this I like to use either fresh water or isopropyl alcohol to flush it all out so if you are out of alcohol you might as well go get some.

carlton_fritz you may just have a buildup of wax in your ear canal that is interfering with letting any water drain out. Wax buildup is more common than you might think.

Either warm water with the ear bulb thingamajig or the hydrogen peroxide would help remove that.

And that just may solve your problem.

151 proof rum or even Everclear would work just fine. Doesn't have to be isopropyl. Ethanol works great. Plus you can make a pina colada with it.

Note to self: Never accept a mixed drink from Cyber.

"Hey, this drink tastes a little funny.....a little bit.....waxy?"

Same thing with me. You do tend to get use to it. It's an easy way to check your pulse when you want.

If they gave you enough of a drug you tolerate well it should only take a couple days. Remember to read the warning labels on the phial and take as directed every day. Missed doses set you back to square zero. Hope you feel better soon.
