GWiz left last weekend's race in Valdosta and went to Atlanta for a few days, and now is in Charlotte, NC. She's racing there this weekend. Now she's at Charlotte Motor Speedway getting ready for practice and she sends me this (apple doesn't fall far from the tree).

GWiz got the short stick in the morning session. It was raining and significantly colder than when Chris and Tonda got to run, but she's thrilled to still be in the trophies in 4th.

Afternoon session starts sometime after 1 pm, and then a 3rd session tomorrow morning. All in all, I think she's doing great so far!

GWiz is still in 4th! She coned her last run which would have put her in 3rd. They have 4 more laps in the morning, but weather will be much colder compared to now, so she has a very real chance at getting her first National Level Trophy. She beat her car owner and co-driver by a nice margin. Without that cone, she'd be 1 full second faster.

In the afternoon, she makes it into the challenge bracket. Anything can happen in a challenge. Money can be won.

Fun fact: Donna Littlejohn, who's behind her, has 2 National Championship jackets. I've met her many times and she's fast as hell.
