Oh. I couldn't figure out what you meant by just three question marks. I thought you meant my post didn't make any sense.

I don't know what model the tires are. I just went into the store and said I wanted some Michelin tires that were E rated for towing my fifth wheel camper. They gave me a couple of options and I just picked one based on price.

It's raining now but I'll go out and see what model they are later for you.

They definitely ride very well. I think my old ones must have stiffened up with age because it rode like a tank.

Been a Michelin person my entire life... and will never put another set on anything I own after the OEM ones that came off of my dually at 26k miles absolutely trashed despite proper rotating, pressures, etc. this winter.

That 6 year/70k mile warranty they claim? Yea, their answer is that it is not applicable on "heavy duty trucks" which apparently is how they classify a GMC Sierra 3500 dually which comes with them on it from the factory. 0%. There is even a "Michelin tire warranty" package in the paperwork that came with the truck.

Both the Yukon and the Firehawk needed tires as well. Both would have had Michelins on them. Now neither do.

F**k Michelin.

My Ranger came with BFGs. After about 10K they got so greasy in the rain I replaced them with a set of Coopers at 35K or so. The BFGs had plenty tread. The Coopers developed a wobble at 45mph in 1K or so and went back to the dealer 8 times for rebalance/ remount and the problem would move with the tire but not go away. Dealer/manufacturer would not replace the faulty tire. They also got greasy in the rain at about 20K miles. At 70K I put on a set of Michelins and all is good. It rides lke a new truck.

My wife's Escape came with Michelins factory mounted and the sidewalls got so bad at 85K we replaced them with some Coopers because Michelin no longer had a fitment in that size. The Coopers rode poorly and tramlined on every crevice and freshly painted line in the road.

My Miata has a set of Michelins that I bought used on a set of Mini rims and in the 4 years they have been on the car I have never had to adjust the tire pressures. The tires date code at 9 years old and there is no cracking, flaking, or other sign of age related failure. Unless I am flat broke I will use Michelins exclusively going forward.

When you play fast and loose with the details of your tires, folks play fast and loose when they decide to buy new tires.

Did y'all know this? Of course you did.

Goodrich tires. The Goodrich Corporation, formerly called B.F. Goodrich Company, stopped making tires in 1988 and sold the business and the B.F. Goodrich name to Michelin.

Did not know. So, I've been driving an Italian truck, made in Mexico, and driving on French tires.

[sigh]
