Default Time Stands Still - Official Trailer & Review

Review Of Rush's 'Time Stand Still': The End Of The Road | Huffington Post

Truth

“I’d be a different human being if it wasn’t for that band.” This isn’t hyperbole on my part. It’s true.

Rush is weird because some people absolutely hate them, and others are complete polar opposite and love them unconditionally. Almost a Grateful Dead mentality (Dead Head here as well)

Rush is probably my favorite band of all time. I absolutely would consider myself somewhat of a Nerd for the band.

Saw them live once. Vapor Trails Tour. IT. WAS. EPIC.

God I love these guys.

Long time fan here as well.
From the first time I saw them (1980 Chicago) to the Vapor Trails and Time Machine tours.

Buddy of mine was a rock photog for some years and gave me a bunch of original prints from their shows that I have in storage.
Been wanting to frame a few of the better ones for the man cave.
One of these days.....

A touchstone in my life was this song from this tour in the 9th row center when I was a senior in HS.
The video screen with the road and white lines that got faster and faster and the sonic and lyrical perfection will live with me forever.
Fast cars and guitars... This song nailed my existence back in the day, right down to the one lane bridge that we partied at and my coolest uncle in the countryside who always had cool cars.

I am one of those that absolutely love them. They are some of the most talented musicians that we will ever experience.

Another vote for them here, been a rush nerd since high school. Saw them at least once every tour since Signals (Missed Test for Echo for some reason), most tours twice or more. I even managed to pass it on to my son, as seen in the below, I'm the dude with a beer, my son to my left.

Wow ! 2nd row??? Awesome. How Geddy does the keys, foot pedals and bass is astounding.
I was lucky enough to be back stage a couple of times. I was standing next to the stairs back stage and they walked right next to me to begin the show.
Good times.
Here is one of 'em. Counter parts.

Top that?
All access put me in front of you, Or wherever I wanted to go, including on the stage.
Once the concert started, we stood at the wall in front of Geddy's rig.
Moving Pictures tour??? 9th row center. Perfect for the video screen and pretty much everything else.
I've seen them two other times, but both are very foggy, if you know what I mean.

I started going to Rush shows in 1984, after I had bought everything I could find on vinyl, including some weird import albums and greatest hits type things.
My absolute favorite band live. I remember spending hours learning La Villa Strangiato, moving the record needle back and forth.
This is actually a really cool no music vid.

First learned of Rush when I was in high school. Wasn't an immediate fan, but they've grown on me, and I love their music.

My wife introduced me to Rush way back in 1980. Never got a chance to to see them in concert until the R30 tour. Still my favorite band period.

Awesome. Thanks for posting that video.

Funny story. I was at The Golden Nugget In Atlantic City this past summer, (the old Trump Marina). There was a reggae band playing on the outdoor patio and they hooked me. I was with my wife, our two girls, and our beach house friends and their two girls. It was raining and there was a motorcycle gang there with their women, all in colors. Probably 15 of them. Everyone bagged on me because they were afraid of the colors and the rain. Anyway, this reggae band was awesome. They actually played this tune that Neil mentions, along with a bunch of other obscure greats that I had never heard before. My point? That was one of my most enjoyable musical experiences ever, even though my group went off to gamble, the band was great and the crowd was just into it..... The people were mesmerized; and the gang? They filed out very conspicuously, went down the first dock and got onto a massive yacht. Damn ! That was just too cool. They were my size and built like brick shithouses, did about 5 shots each along with beers and just left. It was a surreal day on the patio.

Probably my fave Rush song. Then Tom Sawyer, Limelight, and Spirit of the Radio.
