I have been holding off on posting this because I still can't believe that the logistics of this cannot even happen now. I cannot get specific, but in a nutshell, there is no one we can even send the money to that would be our proxy to the children and purchase/deliver the gifts.

I apologize to all of you for my delay in letting you all know what is going on over there.

Other options -

A) I do know one organization in Bantayan that would benefit from our assistance if anyone is interested in helping them - they provide food, shelters, clothing, healthcare, and education to lots of families on that island and the man that runs the organization is a good man.

B) There is a couple that lived down the beach from Tim that always did a little something for the kids at Christmas. They would hand out coloring books and pencils to the kids every year. I was thinking if I can find a way to get a hold of them, and they are willing to help, maybe we can kick in some money and provide something to the kids that way.

C) Take whatever you would have donated to this cause and donate it to a charity that everyone approves of?

D) We just wait and see how we can do this next year. It really makes me sick that things have spiraled out of control over there. There is not a single day that I do not think about Tim and wonder how he kept all of the people over there under control.

Medical Action for Relief Counseling and Healing for Christ (MARCH) is a group of people who care for the needy. We are a non-profit organization that provides free medical and dental health care to indigent Filipinos. Just like Jesus Christ, the Master Healer, we come to heal the sick, counsel the broken-hearted and teach the lost.

MARCH for Christ is a non-profit, non-government corporation established in 1991 right after the Baguio Earhtquakes to assist victims in tragedy with relief, counseling and healing through its medical missions, distribution of relief goods, and, prayer and counseling sessions.

It has been to over 40 such missions from as far north Kalinga Apayao in Luzon to as far south Davao in Mindanao. In January 23, 2005 it brought a 42 man relief mission to southern Sri Lanka providing its services and aid to various evacuation centers from Ambalangoda to Hambantota. From March, 2005 to May 2005, it sent 3 more smaller teams as follow up to Sri Lanka. Some of our volunteers also joined the tsunami relief work in Banda Aceh, Indonesia.

Last November, 2007 a 6-man medical team participated in the earthquake relief work in the mountains of Pakistan, we are also involved in evangelism and church rehabilitation in Myanmar and in the future will involved in giving medical assistance in Cambodia.

In all, MARCH for Christ has directly touched the lives of 100,000 victims of calamity and poverty.

We are now currently involved in relief and rehabilitation effort for the typhoon victims of Ondoy and Pepeng and now we're planning our fourth medical missions in just a span of one month.

I have a friend that is in the Islands now. He has a house there. I don't know if he is close to Bantayan or not. He is a great guy and would like to help if he could. I will ask him exactly where he is at.

On a different question, what about Irish Mac and the rest of Tim's family this Christmas? Are you still monitoring what money is sent via PayPal to the family and will they have some money for a small celebration?

Yes. I am making sure Tims kids are getting the care and education that they need. If all goes well, I hope to move them into a private school next year.

As far as Christmas, I have something planned for the family and kids as a gift.

Sorry to hear it won't happen this year. Looking forward to hearing how we can make it happen in the future, though.
