Point taken. And Bridgett Fonda didn't age well. I don't think the snarling autistic kid will either.

No shit. Even Sherilyn Fenn aged better, and that's saying a LOT. Name: SF2.jpg

I just dug out my first wedding ring: Plain gold band, 14k, bought sometime in the end of 1971. Pretty sure I paid around $10 for it.

The diamond engagement ring I bought for her, would have been in the spring of 1971, was $125.

I use my "actual" ring on more formal occasions or if I'm not going to be wrenching on something.
Great idea, thanks. Now that I know my size, Amazon here I come.

Married people problems.

Reminds me of that old joke:
Are you married or happy?

I was doing a inspection, planning a repair for the home owned by a wealthy older couple. The gentleman guided me through the home while the wife ignored us. The house had a huge master closet along the rear wall, which was the area that needed repair. In the closet the wife had dozens of racks and shelves filled, several suitcases, tables to arrange travel clothing, dozens of hats and purses, shoes...

I smiled at my host and asked him, quietly, "This seems to me mostly women's clothing. Where is your closet? Perhaps on the back of a chair?" He laughed and answered "Young man, let me give you a bit of advice. You can be right, or happy."

Wife reads me articles about couples "renewing" wedding vows; I tell her that if you have to renew them, they weren't vows in the first place - and after 47 years of faithful marriage I think I've earned the right to be taken at my word the FIRST time.

One of the few arguments I consistently win and then she hands me the laundry basket.

Been with my childhood sweetheart for 56 years, 47 of them married; through wars, separations, near poverty, illness and strife, financial and professional success, etc.. I'll put your advice right up there with what I get when I turn over my Magic-8 ball.

My wife is WELL taken care of and in all that time I've never forgotten or missed an anniversary or birthday - not once.

I only see his posts when one of you jabonies quotes him, but they seem to be distinctly "off". Often, they make no sense at all. And he apparently learned how to select emojis from Darkman00 (remember him?). Not only do his comments often make no sense, but the emojis are weirdly out-of-place as well. As for his spelling, grammar, and syntax, all I can do is repeat myself when I say that he is quite obviously functionally illiterate. Hardly what I would consider to be an intelligent and educated specimen.

Stick with what you know. Feed the chickens and collect the eggs. Those dogs could use a good brushing as well. But by all means stay away from the scary horses and leave that to those that aren't hidding with Yadkin under the bed like a little ****.
