I might have two beers a week, I try not to keep it around because its too easy to slip out to the garage frig and down one or two...

My grown daughter and I have a contest to see who can find the foulest, worst tasting, vomit worthy "assy beer" and she'll bring over her selections about once a month and we do a taste test and laugh about how awful much of it is. Believe me, there is some rancid cr@p out there - tastes like Dylan Mulvaney whizzed in it.

I totally get where you're coming from with the kidney stone issue - I have some kidney quirks myself. Because of this, I choose to drink alcohol only on special occasions.

Remember:
1. Hydrate before and after drinking to help your kidneys do their job.
2.Quality over quantity - you're not missing out by enjoying less alcohol, but better alcohol.

On this occasion I can advise you to see Costco liquor and hard alcohol.
I always buy alcohol at Costco, and my go-to drink from them is Kirkland's whiskey
There's just something about its authentic Tennessee flavor that I find irresistible

I used to drink what would probably be considered to be too much. Beer, especially during hot weather outside work, and Scotch all of the other times. Then on May 8 I had a stroke, and the majority of post-stroke advice appears to be to avoid alcohol completely, so I have. I miss it, and have no cravings for it, but I've lost some weight and I'm saving a bunch of $$.
