Since I have never forgiven Walter O'Malley (or Horace Stoneham, but that's another thread) for leaving us NL fans high and dry after the 1957 season, I'm marginally happy that the Trolley Dodgers (their original nickname) got their asses kicked. I am sincerely happy that it was by a team that beat the Crankees, who perform unspeakable acts on unsuspecting mammals looking for human love.

I wore my Brooklyn Dodgers cap, ca. 1954, tonight as I rooted for the 'Astros.

Well...I'm very disappointed, but the better team obviously won. Congrats to the Astros for making it a great World Series. Two teams that never quit.

For what it's worth, if the championship had to go anywhere besides LA, I'm glad it was Texas!

As they used to say in Brooklyn: "Wait 'til next year!"

Each year that I think my team has a reasonable chance, I watch something like this world series and realize we really aren't in the same league as champions. Both of these teams had extraordinary years. There were no losers here.
