Wifie, got 8 weeks or until further notice off from work! Woooohoooo for her, bad, very bad for me! The fracture is not horrible but has to be treated a such. Her accumulation of sick days and personal days are plenty sufficient.

Hey Jeff, Thanks for asking!

I can report, improved some. She complains the boot that it is very uncomfortable and quite limiting. Still giving her pain. It's a weight bearing brake, so she doesn't really use the crutches. And she's yet to drive on her own, luckily I've been available. It's been 3 weeks today, so another 5 weeks before going back to work.

Best thing is, now our beagle Macy (that sleeps in our bed) hasn't been getting up at the wifies normal work hour, at 4:45AM!

Update for the concerned.....Today is the last day off from work for Mrs. Rickles....It's been three months already!

She's still wearing a brace and going to therapy, and does still have some pain. Doc says soft tissue is taking it's time to "heel"....

So a taste of retirement was a great break for her and those 400 hours of pto and some 1200 hours sick days she had accumulated really helped her out with full pay the entire time off.

Thought I'd take her out today for a long walk. Not wishing her pain but if she "tripped" and aggravated it, might get her another month off?

This is actually true! haha

I did build her a nice little workout gym in out third floor spare bedroom. The accident occured in the den (first floor), after her first attempt using the new just out of the box treadmill.
