My daughter (don't ask for pics as I have already posted some of her in past) has a very old 3 gallon flush toilet and it has a bunch of hairline cracks in the porcelain.....
As it matches the cast iron sink and tub she would like to keep it.....is there any remedy to fix this ?

MAY try some plumbing companies for some old tear out tank, other than that I doubt anything can be done....

Porcelain is difficult if not impossible to repair seamlessly. I've tried. You could give it a shot but you might wind up with Frankenshitter. Maybe there is a way to order a new one and match the color as a special order?

It's not porcelain but ceramic. Assuming the cracks are in the glaze, which is glass, then you can paint over the glass.

Cracks in the tank, lid, bowl, or all of the above? I once needed a lid for an old toilet in a rental house, and after a lot of calling around found the right one at a plumbing shop.

If the bowl/base has cracks, I’d get rid of it for the obvious safety reasons. Tank or lid, you may be able to find.

Poo shouldn’t be old unless you have some undiagnosed bowel malady. Condition is another matter entirely. Brown and formed can be just as problematic as loose stool.

Are the cracks just cosmetic or is it leaking?

If it's cosmetic, I'd say she's SOL...learn to live with it.

If the tank is leaking, maybe an epoxy patch inside the tank.
