Lighten up folks, I've known GTOGuy for many years via the CF and phone conversations and he is one of the "good guys" and has been around classic cars (and modern ones) for a lifetime. Of course, he's an opiniionated 'ole cuss just like the rest of us and doesn't take a lot of crap. And that's the reason so many of us are CF refugees and now reside here on "The Island of Misfit Toys"...

I agree. To a fault. I tend to beat things into the ground and then keep on beating. Must be assburgers.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments. I agree with your Yad assessment as well. I respect the man for what he has accomplished and the work he has done on his old cars, as well as his wit and his hard head. His performance over on CFOT reminded me of that scene in an old movie where Dennis Hopper is about to get tortured to death by mobsters in his trailer, so he goes into an ape-analogy-comparison and gets them so mad they lose their tempers and kill him instantly. Which is what he wanted. Yadkin has that kind of style. The long-boneyarded 'Barney Fife' line was a total jaw dropper and I knew when I read it, it would be fatal. After coming back from a 30 day ban, took Yaddie less than 6 hours to get the perma. That, IMO, is grit.

I bought my first house in 1975 at age 25. An old neighbor farmer came over to introduce himself; he was about 75 then.

A handshake, some small talk, and then he said something that always stuck with me: "If you never do me no wrong, I'll never do you any harm."

As a young buck it didn't mean a whole lot to me at the time, but it made more sense the older I got.

So that's where I am with Yaddy (I gave him that nickname BTW ). He gives me a lot of fertile ground with which to make cartoons, but he's never bitched to me about it, and has never really said anything negative to me about anything. So I have no problem with him.

Plus I avoid online "board wars" like the plague. Been in too many of them, there is never any upside to them. If things start to get a bit hot with me and someone else, I make my final point and never go back to that thread.

So, that's it.

• LED headlights standard on all models. Adaptive (steerable) lights are on higher trim levels.
• Most of their safety nannies (BSM, lane departure warning, emergency braking, adaptive cruise) are std across the line.
• You'll want the turbo - 252HP vs around 185 on NA engine.

Eh, I just bought a '23 CX-5, PF trim this afternoon. Bright red, which I wanted, or blue (hate the drab gray/silver/white cars) with white leather interior.

It's pretty much what I wanted. Have to wait 4 weeks to get it, but not bad in today's world.

I was going to get a new Tacoma (I have a '17 I'm trading in) but there is a 6-8 MONTH order time. Screw that, plus the salesman was a total jerk.
