Not sure Steve. Still getting check list on what. Needs to be done. Can’t even put doors/deck lid/hood on as brackets and hardware MIA

Tim and I are back to work till Friday which is good, we need a brain break after that fiasco.

I mean, we have no idea. The car and all the new parts were there when we took the car and now…. 🥺

Going to call insurance to see what if any help they can offer. I’m sure fighting this legally will be painful, time consuming and painful. His wife is selling off everything that was in that shop and there was a lot, cars, tools, parts etc. I’m trying to be compassionate but approaching this as a business deal gone horribly wrong, where I got chit end of stick.

I would imagine that the widow has absolutely no clue what is in the shop. Shoulda grabbed as many parts as you could load in the trailer.

Was the business incorporated or an LLC? If so, it should have some kind of liability insurance that can be held accountable. If it was just one guy with a shop there's likely no liability insurance. Did you have any kind of written contract with him, including a detailed scope of work and price, or was it an informal agreement for him to restore it for the money you already gave him?

Hope it all works out for you, but I suspect it will be long, painful and expensive.

That's about the only way to really look at it. I hope the insurance can help. Is there a written inventory of everything that was dropped off? It sucks with the widow selling off everything. I'm guessing a lot of your stuff is on the list of things to go or has already been sold.

Dr wants Marianne to visit an Infectious disease Dr., Marianne blurts out "I can't go anywhere".
So Dr says increase the Vancomycin to 4 a day (I have her on one a day - she's like 90 lbs, the Dr just doesn't realize Mare can't handle 300 lb rolling blobs that the Dr. normally deals with).
Dr. also stated that this is the 3rd occurrence of C-Diff, so there is another Antibiotic she'd like to try, but it's one of the $300 a pill types, 2 a day (which we today have applied for assistance for, andit has been approved by Merckt- they're just waiting for our financial statements).
Anyway, this new script (Dificid- Daxomicin) is for only 10 days, but we don't know how soon we'll get it. This drug does have common side-effects, and Mare has had all of these side effects in the past, one of them is diarrhea.
Any side-effects for drugs is not a good omen for Marianne.
The fecal transplant was mentioned by the Dr., but only as a last resort. She still has another antibiotic she would like to try.

Man, this is tough.
