Last time I operated a cash register you could crank it by hand if the power went out.

And if I want to go to the Asian Market, I hit the Galleria at Devonshire and Reseda. So, having either of those in the old Whole Foods space would be nice.

For the new shopping area, aside from Whole Foods...

AMC, Nordstromí Rack (already open), Ulta (already open), Peetís Coffee, Lure Fish House, Gusís BBQ.

But what Iím looking forward to is Portoís in Northridge.

Target is so anti gun that they ban even uniformed police officers from carrying in their stores. Our locals hope they never have a call there because they will all have to stay outside and deal with the perp when he/she exits the store. They don't shop there either.

Soooo, what I'm hearing is, if I were to hold up a Target store at gunpoint, I'd likely get away with it?

Do you have a link to that nonsense? Everything I read on the all-knowing interweb says Target's gun policy is a "request", but they won't enforce it. And I've seen a cop with a gun in a local Target, I'd guess responding to a shoplifting complaint.

As an older guy, I'm going to use that line in the near future.
It's usually a teen/young adult asking the question.

Talk about a piss poor 'mgmt' decision, linking ALL the stores together into some master computer, as if it's SO criticality ONE to keep store stock backup current.....they could just go online maybe at midnight or 2 am, some such, and order stock......and submit sales totals, etc.....

so they lost many millions of bux in sales and pissed off many cussin tomers not to mention the restocking charges/wages to put the abandoned crap back on the shelves, ASSuming the frozen food was not all rotten by then.....

Best bud is a 25 year veteran locally. This came from him. YMMV?

Even if the checker isn't noticing what you're buying, the computers do. I bought enough grape juice concentrate to make 3 gallons of juice and 2 packets of yeast (bread yeast) and the register created coupons for some brand of cheap California wine for me.
