Of course.

Many of these people live day to day as it is. Now you want them to find shelter for weeks on end. many have no choice but to stay put and hope for the best. They have no place to go, no funds, no nothing.


I can't imagine what she's going through, and it all came pouring out. She had just arrived at the hurricane shelter, with her kids which adds to the stress ten fold. I know I wouldn't be thinking straight and if asked would probably mindlessly say 'yes' to an interviewer. These people just lost everything, their lives transformed overnight, how the fuck you think they feel?

Just wow. Here's CNN faking a "rescue video". There are a number of things wrong with this thing, starting with the whole "very live shot" thing but watch as the reporter runs to the truck at the beginning wearing shorts and sandals, and then they become long black pants and rubber boots seconds later. Then near the end they set up a shot of the driver on a pickup tailgate and he gets driven off and then the truck driver stops when he thinks it's out of frame.

That's a tad harsh.
Her crystal ball may have been on the fritz and by the time she got a clue, she was fk'd.
Not everyone has the resources to just pick up and go, and she may have thought that she could just ride it out.
People died because of this event.... She is in dire straights, probably in shock, or has PTSD due to the stress of the situation. Add 3 kids to it and I'd say she did pretty damned good for the hand she was dealt.
They're all still alive.
